Quiz Competition 2022
Rules for Participation (For Students):
- The Quiz is open only to the college students studying in the four districts of the UT of Puducherry namely Puducherry, Karaikal, Mahe and Yanam and who study in the current academic year (2022-23). All students of Arts and Science, Medical, Paramedical, Engineering and Polytechnic Colleges are encouraged to attend the Quiz Competition in big numbers.
- The Quiz programme is organized only in English by Pondicherry AIDS Control Society (PACS).
- The Quiz competition consists of THREE levels and the topics will be related to HIV, STI, TB, Blood Donation, monkey pox and COVID-19.
- First level Quiz competition will be conducted on 10.2022 from 10 AM to 1 PM by online / virtual mode to select top 100 winners. Electronic form of certificates will be awarded to the students who complete the online quiz fully.
- Online Registration is mandatory through pondicherrysacs.in website which will commence on 13/10/2022 at 10.00am onwards and the registration will close on 26/10/2022 by 5.00pm. All particulars in the Registration Form should be filled without fail.
- The Quiz link will be shared only to the registered participant’s mail ID one hour prior to the competition. The Quiz link will also available in pondicherrysacs.in website.
- The organisers are not responsible for any interruption in the network connectivity, power failure or other unforeseen adverse conditions that may happen at the participant’s end.
- Top 100 winners of the first level quiz competition will participate in the second level quiz in a physical mode quiz competition on 04/11/2022. In this level, the students will be given Quiz questions in OMR sheets. Top 10 winners will be selected once the OMR sheets are evaluated and will be awarded with Rs.4000/-. All participants who fully complete the second level quiz will be awarded with certificates. Venue for the second level Quiz competition will be intimated through email or through PACS website (pondicherrysacs.in).
- In the first two levels, the participants should choose answers for the Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ) within the stipulated time duration only. Level One and Level Two quiz will contain 50 questions each. For online Quiz, there will be 20 seconds for each question. Each question carries one mark. NO NEGATIVE MARKS.
- In the third level, top 10 winners of the second level quiz competition will be divided into 5 teams consisting of 2 participants each and the quiz will be conducted in Physical mode resembling a typical quiz competition. Teams will be paired through lots. The winning team will be awarded Rs.10,000/-. The Runners-up and the team in the third place will be awarded Rs.7,500/- and Rs.5,000/- respectively. The Winners of the third level will qualify for the regional level quiz representing PACS. Regional / National level quiz may be conducted in Puducherry or in any other state as decided by NACO.
- The winners of each level will be determined purely on the marks secured. In case of a tie, the duration of the response to answer the quiz question will be counted for ranking.
- The Principals and the Coordinators of Red Ribbon Clubs (RRCs) of the Colleges/Institutions are requested to kindly ensure the participation of respective institutions by giving wide publicity among the students and send the list of participants to this society through the mail id pondicherrysacs@gmail.com by 26/10/2022.
- Prizes will be awarded to the Students on submission of the Bonafide Certificates from their respective College/Institution.
- New winners will be preferred to participate in the subsequent levels and the decision of PACS is final. No influence will be entertained at any point of time and doing so, will WARRANT DISQUALIFICATION.
